    Popup "compare lawyer" ad

I understand money makes the forum work but these popup "compare lawyer" ads are extremely annoying and, quite frankly, the more I see of them, the less likely I am to bother with this forum. You want ads--fine--I understand the need, but place them in the top banner and leave out this annoying intrusion as I read or reply to thread comments.

What browser do you use? I use Firefox and don't get pop ups once I log on to the website. I do get them prior to log on though.

I've never seen a pop up window on this forum, either using my laptop or my iPad. Make sure you turn off pop ups on your browser.

Yep, this. Firefox with Pop-Up Blocker and that's the end of that crap.

I'm on Chrome, no pop-ups here? I'm honestly not sure if it has a pop-up blocker or not.(I assume it does?)

Just FYI. The forum is not accepting any ads from lawyers and I'm certain that the owners are not getting any sponsor paychecks from any such advertisers.

In fact they do work hard to prevent annoying pop-ups and spammers from polluting the forum.

That having been said Firefox with the AD Block add-on can be your best friend.

Nothing here with IE and the stock blocker. I also have "do not track +" amazing how many trackers it stops on nearly every website. Only three here, most sites have ten or more paying to track the sheep.
I don't always have nothing to say, but when I do, I post it on Facebook.

I'm using IE and get an annoying Ford ad that keeps popping up from the bottom of my screent. I don't mind the ads at the top or side and am glad to see them supporting the site. The ad on the bottom, though, interferes with the use of the site so I don't visit very much now.

The Ford ad should go away after you log-in to the forum. It does for me.
