    Ex member?

Stupid question. Underneath someone's name if it says ex member what does that mean? Does that mean they were banned? If so what's the difference between an ex member and a banned member? Just for my own self ejumacation. Also what does the little sheriffs badge and triangular exclamation mean?

Ex Member could be someone Banned or someone that requested they be de-listed as a member. We make few distinctions worth mention.

The Triangular Exclamation is used to "Report" posts that violate a Forum Rule. Click on it and you'll get a small pop-up box to write a short explanation that is sent to all of the Mods.

The Sheriffs Badge is for "Reputation Points" which is not enabled on DC IIRC.

What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."

I believe the ex members asked to have their account closed, vs being banned.

If your talking about the triangle with exclamation mark just to the right of the Blog this Post button, that is the button you click on to report that may be inappropriate/ questionable/ spam and other things like that.

One must never speak their names again. Except Armyman when the argument of strict scrutiny comes up.

Banned members are also labeled as Ex Members. Promise. Sometimes they even get a new avatar

It reminds me of when I was playing on a YMCA basketball league... one of my teammates dribbled the ball off his foot and yelled "Poop!" (This has been edited for television). He turned to the ref and apologized for his swear. The ref said "Oh, saying poop is okay." So my friend looks at him and says "Oh yeah? Then eat poop!"

The ref laughed so hard he had to stop play.
