    Threads closed or moved? WHY?

Hey Mods can someone tell me why my two threads were closed? Sorry one sez moved but to where?

"Here Piggie, Piggie, Piggie" is one and the other is "She didn't affirmatively say NO!"

    Is there a PC issue?

The forum you posted them in, "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" is supposed to be be used only for selfdefense stories in the news.

OK I go with the Piggie story, but the rape case is a "Self Defense" issue that is in the "News"

I can't read the Rape case. It looks like it might be "under review" by the mod's.

And how is some person not defending themselves against an attack or a rape a self-defense story?

We are trying to discourage news stories that are simply general in the news crimes or murders that have absolutely no bearing on our primary forum focus which is self, family, home, defense.

We were getting super saturated with general sad, horrific, pitiful, general news stories of victims that have no educational value with regard to personal, home, family protection to the degree that certain areas of the forum were becoming more like the National Enquirer or STAR Magazine and were in no way related to concealed carry - open carry - holsters - edged weapons - holsters - tactical equipment - self defense training - law enforcement etc etc.

Example: Female is helpless victim gets beaten and raped then dies in hospital ~ No Go Story.

Example: Female gets attacked - attempted rape - goes for firearm in purse which fails to fire but, has back-up knife and fends off attacker ~ OK Story.

Just FYI - Here is the "sticky" that members are supposed to read before posting a story thread in that forum category.
This was the "sticky" that was placed there by SIXTO because things were really getting out of control in that forum area with news that was in no way DefensiveCarry related.

Stop posting any old news story here. This is supposed to be about self defense topics, not a dumping ground for anything you find interesting. This has been made clear in the past, but its getting out of hand again.

threads posted in "in the news: The good, the bad and the ugly"
We are getting an increasing number of "off topic" threads posted to the "in the news" forum.
So much so that it is beginning to become a general crime story repository that is really not the focus of this forum.
If you come across news items that have some real application to concealed carry, open carry, successful (or unsuccessful) armed self defense please feel free to post them, but "general crime" stories, not associated with self defense in any way should be avoided.

Likewise for stories of crime in countries other than the U.S.

While I appreciate that our members enjoy the forum and want to post items of personal interest regardless of topic, I believe that we are, over time, broadening the focus of the forum too much in including some of these topics.

Please help us keep the forums' topics "on topic".

So, those who cant abide by the rules will be given infractions and will no longer be able to post here.
    This is the warning.

So the story about the death of my savings account during a kitchen remodel is a no go then? I mean, it just rolled over and went belly up!

    It's truly a sad story.
A word of warning; if you can afford to do more Bear does not recommend giving your wife two pieces of bubble gum for her birthday.

No go. No go at all. Unless you share, again, how you hit your head on the 1950's spaceship light fixture that could have been retracted above your head. Then, it's "self defense", with a weapon.

That still won't fix the savings account.

What a woman! Where was that woman when I was dating?

QK-Of course I'm joking, but thanks for those two examples, that makes things clear.
