    Advanced search? Pet thread?

Do we have an advanced search here? I'm sure we must, but I can't find it.
I'm looking for the pet thread. I could have sworn we had a show us your pets thread, but without being able to find and use an advanced search I'm pulling up every thread with my search words in it somewhere when using the basic search in the upper right, below the small banner ad.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the links.
I could have sworn there was a pet thread here I had posted in... No big deal. If there was it is dead and buried.

So I take it we do not have an advanced search?

Can you provide a screenshot? Like I said in my OP I only have a basic search field (white box with a magnifying glass next to it), which pulls up key words from titles, content and every forum. No way to narrow it down.
I noticed this the other day when I was trying to see if there was a "show us your 1911's" thread. I could not find a way to only search thread titles for my key words. I know it must be something simple, like I'm blind, but I can't find it.

The <search> features are indeed somewhat different.

    1. The little empty field in the upper-right of all web pages. aka, "basic" search. About the least useful search mechanism here.

    2. Advance Search, Single Content Type.

This is the most common one I use. Be sure to click on the <Single Content Type> tab, once you're in the <Advanced Search> page. THIS is what distinguishes it from the "basic" search (above), beyond the ability to choose all the additional choices (title, keywords, dates). Without THIS mechanism (the 'single content' tab), the search utilities flat miss many (even most) prior discussions despite the fact you correctly put in valid keywords that DO actually occur in the threads in question. Go figure, but it's true.

    3. Advanced Search, Multiple Content Type.

I don't use this one much, since #2 (above) is so useful.
