...and I might add that if one works 40 hour per week for 52 weeks with no time off it would add up to 2080 hours per year, but then you all already knew that.
I think that the 13,000 hours of work calculation is for the 'gubermint' taxing purposes.
The last Blood Moon Tetrad for this millennium starts in April 2014 and ends in September 2015...according to NASA.

Being former military and aircrew our common answer was we were on duty 25 hours a day, 8 days a week, 32 days a month and 367 days a year, sometimes it did seem like that.

I'll bet that's a typo failure. "The average American drives 13,000 miles per year".
The gubmint says we drive 13,476 miles per year. Average Annual Miles per Driver by Age Group

I'm retired so any amount they put in is wrong. And - I don't consider myself "average". Never made it that far.
