For those that haven't seen the Forum Announcement I'm posting it here.
Every now and then it seems we have to re-hash some behavior issues.
If you have not read the forum rules, I suggest you do. But to elaborate on a few re-occuring issues:
Drop the attitude and personal jabs. If you can't make an argument without being a condescending SOB, don't post it.
Politics. NO NON GUN RELATED POLITICS! If there is not a DIRECT association to 2A issues DROP THE POLITICAL COMMENTARY. If I have to I'll take a Tomahawk to this place and start banning accounts wholesale.
Some links of interest. I suggest EVERYONE take the time to review these.

What if the Hokey Pokey IS what it's all about?
JD, thank you for the reminder. Well worth remembering, if we want the forum to remain as good as it has been.
Will revisit the forum rules/FAQ page as well.
Thank you for the reminders for all of us.
Getting old was not on my list of "things to do" in the Golden Years!
Talking to each other here is good, but taking action is better.
I'll try and keep my rhetorical jabs pointed down range from now on.
There is a solution but we are not Jedi... not yet.
We have deep thinkers and stinkers in this group that could come up with a solution...
Sometimes the staff might seem a little "heavy handed" especially to new members that are used to the anything flys type of forum. We try hard to stick closely to our rules that have worked for use so well all these years. I'm determined along with all our staff here to keep this the best firearms forum going. If that means we kick people out on a regular basis, so be it.
We just ask that you keep posts clean, politic free. Don't say it if you wouldn't say it in your momma or pappy's presence.
Keep things neat and orderly. Pay attention to where you posting and spend sometime actually reading before you post. Especially if its a news item. Chances are, its already here. This isn't Drudge, there is no need to race here and post what ever just popped up on your news feed. Discussion of current events is fine. Ten threads on the same story isn't.
Please be descriptive so people can scan and know what it is. The cutesy poo titles that leave members guessing is causing a lot of issues with reposts and organization etc. Again, with news stories especially. try to include location and a good description of what the story is about. This is easy, as the story headline already exists, written by a professional writer. Why not use that?
Use the report feature for rule violations etc. That helps us out a lot by saving some time. But please do use common sense. There is no need to report silly squabbles unless its out of hand. Don't cry wolf either.
There. Thats my rant.

The forum here is such high quality in part because there are reasonable rules enforced by reasonable people.

I will even try to improve my grammar.
