    IBTL,

I really appreciate "Bumper's House", I also appreciate not having to deal with one of the kids picking up my computer and reading a bunch of filthy language or racy innuendo if I leave it open when they visit.

Some people don't get it and don't care that this IS a family friendly site - and for many of this you all have become an extended family of sorts.

Thanks Bumper (and the rest of the staff too)

    MR D

Now here's an idea - a new site stat for "suicides by moderator".... I would pay to support a stat like this.

Speaking of which, are you hurting for donations Bumper? I donated when I first joined, but haven't heard about any requirements since.....

One would be suprised at the number of"suicides by moderator" that we get on this site.

Its obvious that they are used to hanging out on other sites where such foolishness is often tolerated or even encouraged. We dont play that stuff here.

Shooting off at the mouth to a Moderator is about the quickest way to get banned that I know of. Its one thing to gripe about something you dont like, but challenging an Admin or a Mod is about as stupid as it gets.

None of us take any pleasure in banning someone, but occasionally it is something that must be done to maintain some order.

In the last 5, going on 6, years there have been quite a few. They are price of doing business but never a number we are particularly proud of.

Is today garbage day? I see that Bumper put out the trash....

Maybe JD or one of the other mods can give him a special avatar like the failed trolls have. They are just too funny.

I for one am glad to see the forum swept free of garbage talk, mistakes happen but to just use a potty mouth on a public forum is juvenile.

I guess he really doesn't want his job back. And now we all know why he was fired.

What's scary is that I think it's safe to assume he owns and handles firearms.

My intent in starting the first thread was to show just how easy it would be to let a hot head get you in trouble when carrying a gun. I wasn't trying to fry the guy

That said, I'm not completely convinced that that was Mr. Moncalieri because I posted that same thread on THR.us a year ago and he never showed up so why here and why now?

Hey Bumper, you don't need to justify or explain yourself to me. I like it here in the forums, and I like the rules we all play by. The moderators (yourself included) keep us in line, and occassionaly steer us back into line. Not only do we have the greatest folks participating and enriching each other's experience and love of firearms, but we also are family friendly. Everyone is welcome to come in, sit down, and chat awhile. You guys do an awesome job of sweeping up, and making sure everyone has a good time. My hats off to all of you!

Did you just call Bumper an 800 lb gorilla?

    I don't know if that's a compliment or an insult !

Perhaps an 800 lb grizzly would be a little more appropriate?

Thanks to all the Mods for keeping this a great place to unwind.

I like this forum for its standards and the accountability it requires of its members. I like the rules and the staff is second to none. Hats off to Bumper!
