I found 100 rd. of Rem UMC value pack .45 at Bass Pro yesterday for $40. Now that's a value.

I used to buy the Blazer Brass but none of the Walmarts around here carry it now. They have replaced it with Federal at $11ish. 1 month ago I bought Blazer for $8.97 per 50 (I think, may have been 9.97). I just wish the price of 357sig would drop. $.50 per round is too high to shoot.

I am a bit jealous. If I can find any .40 for under $20 I am a very happy camper - most 180 grain goes for $23. 9mm isn't any better. $21 a box of 50 generally speaking, as low as $17.

since it was mentioned in the original post, and again further down the thread, what is the stuff in the orange box? I try my best to NOT go ito wallyworld, but was taking a buddy to the range Friday night and he wanted to buy some 9mm. At 7:00 p.m. we stood around the sporting goods counter for 20 minutes, he went three times to tell a store employee we were wanting something from sporting goods dept., and got tired of the wait and left. All I could see under the counter was 3-4 small orange boxes labled "9mm Luger". Guess I'll have to find another quick source for those situations if that stuff is commie ammo... I do not use commie crap in my guns.

My guess is Swiss ammo from RWS (RUAG Ammotec AG).

They use Blaze Orange & Black boxes.

Yeah, it's RWS in 124gr. It's supposed to be pretty hot as well. Too expensive for plinking though.
