1- quite a while. I got my first gun around 12 yrs old. I had a Remington .22 and Winchester 94 30-30. Got a shotgun when I turned 18. A .22 pistol at 21. A Remington 700 .270 shortly after. on and on
2- since around 12, OK technically I could not "own" them but I was the only one in the house to use them. And I was free to get them and hunt whenever I wanted.
3- 15, 4 pistols, 4 shotguns, 2 muzzleloaders, 3 .22 rifles, and 2 long rifles. Yeah, I'm a gun nut. No assault rifle yet though, my only evil black gun is my G19.
And get a .22 pistol, they are great at the range!

Well, I've owned guns for probably 30 + years.
Can't say how many I own presently as it is a State secret, however the last purchase was made on Valentine's day as a present for the wife.
Gun buying can get to be habit, there's no doubt about it. There's always gonna be "one more" that you want. I have a list of several "one more's" I'm working on.
There's really nothing wrong with having a lot of guns as long as you don't put yourself in a financial jam to get them. That can and does happen and you really shouldn't let things get out of control.
I tend to put my guns into a few simple categories. Defensive guns, sporting guns, and collectible or heirloom guns. It is nice to know that guns as a whole, (if you take care of them), tend to hold their value very well and can be considered a worthy investment. Especially when they discontinue models of firearms. I have a friend who bought a new Colt Python in the late 1970's for around $500 - $600 which is now worth close to $2000.

1. About a month
2. Not counting the BB gun days, since I was 12... wow, 17 years ago. Getting old.
3. 47. Many of all types. Some of them were handed down to me.
I own many firearms mostly because its my biggest hobby and my career. I buy maybe two new firearms a year, however, this year I am already at number 3. I see a good deal, I have to go for it. I have many rifles, pistols, and a few shotguns. I prefer rifles since I was a sniper. But I am profeciant with all types.

The CORRECT answer is "a lot, but they were all lost in a tragic boating accident"!
I have 15 handguns in my collections. Mainly Rugers and 4 S&Ws revolvers. And,a 1941 Browning Hi-Power that my Grandfather willed to me before he passed away in Belguim. He found the HP on a dead German army officer and kept it and since I have had it so far the oricinal ball ammo has still been in the 4 mags since 41 when it was issued. I have a first cousin that works at the Browning plant in Liege,Belguim that helped me get it here after Grandpa passed. richgp100z
but I will say bought my first one at age 18.... and now I am looking at age 59 in May so maybe a more appropriate question would and should be is how many full gun safes do you have......

A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. Nothing has brought me more peace and content in life than simply being a good husband and father.
1. Got my second gun about a week after the first.
2. Have been a gun owner for more than 20 years.
3. Am storing my guns in 3 pretty full safes.

2) 11 years or so
3) 2 that are mine, 3 in my possession total.
I used to roll my eyes when I'd hear buddies or read on here about people having a list of their next gun purchases.. Buuuuut, now i'm guilty of it, and i'm not ashamed!
I spend most of my free time at work researching my next purchases, then prioritizing the list. Right now on the top of the list is a good home defense shotgun. I'm leaning toward the Mosberg 500 w/ 300 lumen light... Or, a .40 cal carbine to match the round of my XD40.. decisions, decisions.. I'm thinkin the scatter gun will be a better fit for my next purchase, and bump the carbine down the list. Right? That list gets longer and longer the more time I spend around here and other firearm forums.
How `bout NOYFB??
