This is why I test magazines at the range
I went to the range this morning to practice with my LCP and a Glock 36. Everything went smoothly with the LCP as always. Great ccw.
I had 2 new magazines for the Glock 36. First magazine, no problems. With the next magazine there were problems. First round was difficult to chamber, it took 3 attempts before the round was stripped into the chamber. First round fired and ejected, second live round was jammed in between the feed ramp and the slide at a 90 degree vertical angle. Removed the magazine from the pistol and the remaining rounds litterly fell out of the magazine.
Looked down inside the magazine and the follower was stuck toward the bottom of the magazine. While looking at it, the follower exploded upward and partially exited the top of the magazine at a 90 degree angle. Good thing I was wearing safety glasses.

The rest of the range session went smoothly. I called Glock customer service this afternoon and left a message asking for a new magazine.
This was a good day for reminders, always test your equipment, and always wear those safety glasses when shooting. You never know what can happen.
