My eye is toward function, and I tend to be willing to consider anything that seemingly meets my functional requirements.
I suppose I'm partial to the 9mm cartridge in pistols of decent capacity. I suppose I do like lever-action rifles. Of the popular ones, I have only acquired Marlins. Being lefty, I am partial to designs that support easy manipulation of all the controls via a left hander. I have acquired a number of lefty-friendly pistols, and a couple of lefty rifles.
I've still got a Browning BDM, which should tell you something: no, I am not particularly partial to a make/model of gun simply due to that make/model.

I only have 7 firearms and only two have the same name on the side. I like variety.
I guess you could say that my favourite brand of gun is the one that is reliable.

For fighting guns, H&K. For sporters, Remington.
The preceding post may contain sarcasm; it's just better that way. However, it is still intended with construction and with the Love of my L-rd Y'shua.

When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid.

Beretta, Ruger, and Smith & Wesson for handguns. I'm not so married to brands when it comes to long guns.
For Beretta, I really like the 92 series and their 950 .25 autos; Ruger I'm a fan of their single action revolvers, the SP101, and the .22 LR semi-auto pistols; S&W basically all their revolvers, the M&P series, the VE Sigmas, and the steel frame 3rd Generation autos, especially in .45 ACP.

I prefer Ruger and Springfield Armory for handguns, but I just got a S&W that's very nice.
Shotguns: I much prefer Remington, but Benelli's are rather nice.
Rifle: My favorite is my Rifle Dynamics AK. Built for me, to my specs. A fighting beauty! I do love Marlin rifles for sport though.
I like Sigs, but they are just a bit too big for my hand. I do want to try a 9mm HK some day.
