I went shooting with my Omega muzzleloader this afternoon. I added a Williams peep sight yesterday evening and wanted to try it out.

The 25 yard target is all mine, but I "recycled" the 75 and 100 yard targets, having one shot each at the 75 and 100 yard one. My load is a 275 grain maxi hunter over 70 grains of black powder. The breeze was about 5 - 10 mph. The results are below.

25 yards...

75 yards...

100 yards...

Most of my shots in the field are at 10 - 15 yards, and the Omega shoots a few inches high. I never take field shots over 25 yards anymore, no challenge in it for me.

With the new peep sights, I can once again see well enough at longer distances to shoot the 75 and 100 yard targets. Still, most of my efforts are concentrated at the 25 and 50 yard line.

The Williams peep sight was so good, I'm ordering one for my 10-22.
