It is your basic NRA hat, the black one with yellow letters. It was raining and I had to pick up a few things from the grocery store so I threw on the NRA hat because it needs to be broken in.
Maine has been dealing with a lot of firearm topics in the media lately but I didn't give that much thought. Hat looks nice, fits me well and keeps my head dry. That is what I was thinking and nothing more.
I had 5 people give me the evil eye. One older lady even threw in the extra evil stink eye and another man would not take his eyes off of me while I was standing in line. Being that I keep my head on a swivel each time I viewed him he was staring at me with that evil eye.
I never thought wearing an NRA hat would draw that much attention but it did. Maybe it is because of all the recent media attention in Maine about firearms. I know there are people that hate the NRA so maybe I found 5 of them tonight.

LOL. That's one of my favorite hats.
I guess it's where you live? I usually get smiles and nods.

I wear the NRA hat with the eagle logo on the front, and I don't think most people realize there are guns involved...

...but I support your decision to "open carry" your NRA hat :-)

I went to my local Hannaford's but it was during a very busy time. There has been a lot of heated debate in Maine lately about firearms and Maine is pretty much 50/50 when it comes to liberals and conservatives.
I wish I was only seeing things that didn't exist but I could feel the dislike from these people. They truly did not enjoy my NRA hat. It was weird but it won't stop me from wearing it.

This is the NRA hat I have.

It's actually waxed cotton so it stays dry in the rain/snow. I actually only wear it in the rain/snow, especially when walking the dogs. It's pretty much the reason I bought it since I'm really not one to advertise.
I never had any strange looks when wearing it though, probably because it's pretty subtle more so than the picture shows (it's brown on brown)

I saw a guy with an NRA Lifetime Member sweater. My first thought was "Don't mess with this guy."

Yep....you definitely dont live in Georgia
You may not like guns. You may choose not to own one. That is your right.
You might not believe in God. That is your choice.
However, if someone breaks into your home at 3AM the first two things you are going to do are:
1) Call someone with a gun.
2)Pray they get there in time." - A wise man
