Just a question
Hello every one,im new to the forums and not sure im in the right place.I live in California now and took the Cal HSC test and passed.I purchased a hand gun and was supposed to pick it up today {10}day wait. When i went in to pick it up i was handed a letter of delay delivery from the DOJ.I have no major arrests on record.I called the DOJ in Sacramento and we narrowed it down to a arrest i had back in 1981 in chicago,it was because i had been pulled over and the officer found a billy club under my seat.I was arrested, went to court and got a years supervision. In the mean time i bought 4 firearms in illinois in the years before i moved to California without any problems. Is there any reason why i could have been flagged by California and what are my chances of obtaining another firearm. Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thank You
Dave

First, welcome! I live in NC so I can't help much but from what I know of California, if you've ever sneezed wrong in your entire life they will deny you a handgun! I'm sure others will post but again, welcome!

Ugh, sorry, Your problem is that you live in CA! Very pretty state, but its a well known fact that their gun laws suck. Don't know of anything you can do about something like that, sorry!
-
The reason? Because you're in CA--no more/no less.

CA dose not welcome gun owners.....

Velkome to ze Peoples Republik of Kalifornia which models itself after Stalins Gulags. Your best bet, move east to Nevada or Arizona. Heil Schwarzenegger!

If California reads your post, they will want the weapons you purchased prior to moving into their State. I'll guarantee that every single 18 wheel truck in the State of California has a billy club under their driver's seat, they use it to check their tires. Good luck, but I think they'll probably hold you up just long enough for you to be too old to handle a firearm before they decide your not a threat anymore.
