    Interesting indeed.
I was surprised that New Jersey made the top 20 safest states... with cities like Newark, Paterson and Camden (ranked #2 most dangerous cities).

Me too! We have some of the worst ccw laws in the country too!
Newark and P-town not far from me either. I was surprised at how many gun friendly states were not very safe.

I was surprised to see Delaware listed? Perhaps it's because we are so small? I did not see Rhode Island, and they are the only State smaller than we are? I'll keep my SA up.

The list just reenforces my decision not only to carry...but to train...I'm afraid South Carolina has definitely gone to the dogs...SIGH
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

There were a lot of southern states on the list.. that's why we need gun friendly laws..

N Charleston is no surprise to me. I worked with a lot of kids from that area that had gang ties. Columbia too. And that was about 6 yrs ago when I left SC.

It looks like the south isn't as safe as I thought it was.

Seattle isn't on any of the lists. Hmmm...
