I'm going to buy a snubbie .22 for daughter and wife to practice with in lieu of using the S&W 642...
Question is: Does anyone own either or both?...Opinions of each? Probably about $300 diff (higher) pricewise for the 8 shot 317 vs 6 shot for the CA.
I own a 317 and have shot a dozen of them. Pathfinders are common in my family. :smile:
The trigger pull of the 317 will probably be better but my relatives have found the Charters to be perfectly serviceable guns.
I use my 317 as daily practice arm (into a Champion Bullet Trap in garage) and have it set up same as my carry guns (642 or 637) with same grips and painted front sight. Trigger pull is same and my groups when I go to range with the .38s has improved immensely.
