Firearms safety video or dont leave your gun laying around

A friend of mine sent me this video. I had never seen it but it may have been around for awhile. It appears to be from Lebanon or maybe Turkey but not sure.
If anyone ever says that a small child cannot hold the weight, or figure out how to manipulate a firearm you need to show them this video.

I dont know if the victim survived or not the weapon appears to be a BHP or clone.

If the link does not work for some reason and you know a better way to post it let me know please.

What in the wide world of sports was that guy thinking? Before he was thinking "Oh noes, I've been shot!" that is.

Well, particularly when the adult in question (a) relinquishes control of the gun, (b) leaves it loaded, (c) has no safety mechanism on the gun, and (d) does not supervise the child ... then, getting shot in the belly by your own gun in the hands of your own child is entirely likely. Dumb "Dad" just won the Christmas turkey. I'd like to think he learned something, but somehow I doubt it.

I wonder what he was doing waving the gun around in a crowd in the first place.

As far as waving the gun around that is common practice in the middle east. Weddings, funerals, good parties, bad parties all get friendly fire in the air. Then they come to us for more ammo because they have shot it all up.

Nice of the cameraman not to issue a warning.

My interpretation: He had the gun out to celebrate (As a previous poster has mentioned as part of their culture. I'm not an expert, so I will take his word for it.) and the kid wanted to see it. He probably removed the magazine, forgetting about the round in the chamber, and handed it to the kid. Thinking the kid was just going to be holding an unloaded gun, he quit paying attention. Then bam, he's shot.

I'm pretty sure alcohol is forbidden there, otherwise I would have to say a drunk guy with a gun = being shot by his own kid. Apparently it's just a dumb father who was tired of being nagged.

You know medic never thought of the cameraman. "LOL Hey Muhomad watch this".
Depending on where the video is from alcohol though forbidden is readily available and consumed. If it is from say Lebanon or Turkey alcohol is not forbidden and consumed openly.
As stated dont have any info as far as who, what, when, or where on the specifics of the video.
