WAYNE... I like the Cinema idea.. How about a large room with a projector playing DVD movies for free. Show movies like - tactical shooting, combat survival skills, hand to hand combat skills, or some Die Hard or Dirty Harry movies ??? The room would have cinema style seating of course with cup holders !!

Open it up near Disney in central FL with plenty of rental guns, especially so called "assault rifles" and the tourist crowd from overseas would pack the house. I know I'd be there with my goodies......

I sure like the idea. I'd be a regular. There is no such animal here in Largo, Fl. Most you can get is a soft drink from the machine.

Well there is Valhalla, which is a gun guy resort. Rock Run in PA has trap, skeet and handgun ranges along with a meeting center and restaurant. KCTA has a snack bar with their range up at Smithville Lake (North KCMO).

The problem I see in the KC area (I supposedly live there) is most incoporated areas have a no discharge of a firearm within the city limits ordinance. So that could put you rather far away from your customers base. This works for some businesses with low overhead etc, but a range and restaurant would require traffic to make it. A friend and I were developing a business plan on this concept about 2 years ago in Virginia. We figured it would take about 1 million in liquid assets (cash, stocks, bond and such) and the ability to borrow around 2.5-3 million more. That should turn the key and keep you going for 90-120 days.

IIRC the NASR had a good write up on the Rock Run facility. They took over an existing dilapidated property and kept their costs to about 2 million. They also had incentives to renew the dilapidated property which helped some.

I obviously like the concept. Need financing though.

SCOTT.. Thanks for the info, that is awesome. I'll look into the places you mentioned. If you ever want to go sling some lead, let me know. I check this site almost daily now.
