Bought my first handgun @ 41. Grew up in a family where we went deer hunting every year, and was given a ruger 10/22 when I was 16. We would go plinking every now and then. Didn’t have much exposure to handguns. I remember in college actually thinking that the only use for handguns was to commit crimes.
Married and w/ some kids – your mindset changes. As another post put - I grew up.
