I prefer hammers on all my weapons. No real reason though.
Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.

One BIG trick a J-Frame Centennial can do is repeat fire from inside a pocket.
I have both and I usually don't look for one or the other. The only exception to that is my SP-101. I wanted hammer less for it as I didn't want the hammer to snag on anything if I was carrying it concealed. My other firearms that have hammers are either for OC (a Taurus SA/DA semi), plinking (Ruger Single-Six SA revolver), or Hunting (Marlin 336W Lever-action rifle); I think that a hammer is preferable in those cases. Especially in the hunting department.

Just yesterday I had a young laddybuck at the LGS say "Glock is the gun of his generation, the 1911 was the gun of my generation". Well, OK, not so delicate. I came along much later than 1911 but there's something to be said about his statement. For those of us that started shooting in the 70's or earlier, Model 19's and 1911's were the mainstream style of wheel guns and autos. So it's natural that some of us gravitate towards hammers. No different really than if the auto industry began replacing steering wheels with joy sticks. Some of us would prefer the old school steering wheel as the years go by.
