You have the handguns covered. From your choices, the AR.....buuuuuuuut.

If you're truly, honestly concerned about the "what if's", and not the "200 yard shots", then get an AK, a 10/22, plenty of ammo for both, and stock up on 10-15 year "freeze dried" food packages, and water, and....for the price of the cool factor of an AR.
Soooooo many more bases covered. I can't stress enough the soooooo many more bases covered part.

If the proverbial SHTF, the last thing I "need" that would help me survive is a "tricked out" 1500-2000 dollar fricken' AR....
"Oooooooh, I look cool at the range with the EO Tech, the laser, the picatinny rails, the Magpul magazines, the..."

AK- Deer, elk, cows, pigs, humans, and yep, "zombies"! Yep, FOOD. (oh, and zombies)
10/22- Small game of oh so many sizes, cheap practice, et cetera

I had a tricked out AR. I sold it, for the NEEDS, and the "what if's" supplies.
(On a side note, if the SHTF and the local area where you are went power dead, and water dry for MONTHS at a time, then no one wants to buy your AR. You will however, be able to command about ANY price for cigs...wine/liquor....water...beans...ammo... home grown garden veggies... rabbits...and such.) Just sayin'. But hey, I've somehow, finally, turned into a survivalist, so me personally, this is just my line of thinking these days.)

It's your money.....until money means nothing. Some things to ponder.

Stop acting like we're fightin' for "freedom". We are ALREADY....free.

Get the AR and a holster for the 1911. 2 problems solved
