    S&W Model 438

Hey guys new to the forum. Ive been thinking about picking up the S&W model 438. Anyone have any info or experience with this gun? or any of the airweight series for that matter? when did s&w first come out with the airweight models? also is 38 sp. +p a good defensive round? id go with a 357 but i want somthing lighter considering this will probably ride in my pocket. any help would be great. thanks - robby

Welcome...I'd say that's a decent option. There's tons of info already on here, just search snubbie or 438. Enjoy the ride.

Robby - I have a 642 that rides in my pocket. It is rated for 38+P and carries very comfortably. As NTG noted, there is much already posted about the airweight and 38 -v- 357 and minimum caliber. You will probably find much of this with the search feature. You will also get lots of opinions.

FWIW, I recently switched from the Nemesis to the Super Fly holster and the Super Fly does conceal the shape of the gun better. If you don't already have a holster, I would consider the Super Fly.
