I have been a bullet caster for years but am well aware just how much work and time (even mechanized) can go into production - quite an eyeopener for some folks. Interesting link.

When you also get to the ''bonded core'' type stuff too with rifle bullets - then too some quite intricate and multiple stages - no wonder they are not cheap items.

i started casting lead bullets in 1979. to me it is fun to cast and reload. most think i am a nut doing all of this work when we get all the duty ammo we can shoot. it is fun to me and i make loads that are not duty type loads. it is hard work to cast bullets, well it is hard to do it right anyway.
