Anyone use/carry a S&W 4566? Any opinion, concerns, complaints, etc.?
I have the chance to get one for a decent price. I know it's on the heavy side, but it will not be my primary carry gun. Most likely for the range and backup HD.

I used to have one. Great gun for what it is, and the weight isn't THAT bad. It'll work as long as you want it to, and then it'll work for the next generation as well.

Very well built gun....our state police issue it as their duty sidearm. They refuse to switch.

In my experience the S&W 45xx series are the most reliable .45 ACP pistols that exist. In addition to that they are reasonably accurate (the TSW 4566 is very accurate) and easy to shoot. They are heavy, but not any heavier than a steel frame 1911. I'd say jump on it.
