Talking Sig p239 how did I do?

Okay this Sig has been the hot topic to me on this forum for the past couple of weeks, everything from fighting with my girlfriend about it to shoes and its been a couple m&p threads.
    For $525 how did I do? Traded a M&P40c for $400 plus $125
**Pics below dont show (pros & cons)**
    - Excellent rifling in barrel, no nicks no pits, clean cut, deep cut rifling.
-aftermarket sights, two orange dots in the rear, one orange dot in the front, im not sure I like them though because they seem kind of dull. Although the seem to be like fiber optic sights, do they look like that from the side or would they be more exposed to accept light? (will post pics tomorrow when i brought home)
-two scratches on the top of the slide, they are barely noticeable when well oiled and good and dark, but they still bug me. I pm'd Pirate about maybe duracoating for me for $. He was very polite, even when he told me no. im just insecure about doing it myself I guess.
Hogue finger grooves, which i didnt like on my beretta 96D. So...we'll see.
Why is the chamber block so "streaky" on the finish if the rifling is still so clean cut and deep?
More pics on details after I bring it home. Obviously I bought this at a little local shop, see the Jennings 9mm in the case below for $125. hehehe
Any feedback is helpful, thank you thank you

Yup, I would have gone for that deal! The 239 is a sweet carry and a good shooter too!

Well congrats, sounds like a very fair price to me.

Not sure what you mean when you say "streaky" on the chamber end. If it's what I think you mean it's normal, from contact with the slide as it cycles.

Another place you will see some wear even on a relatively new Sig, will be on the top front of the barrel near the muzzle. There will be "smilies" there (sort of a half moon shape, silver against the black).

If you run your fingernail over that area and it's smooth (your fingernail shouldn't catch on the smilie), it's been properly lubed and doesn't have a high round count.

Sig Anti Snag - edges are melted and honed to make it smoother to carry concealed and draw.

More expensive too. Without it I was looking at 800 - 900 today.

Broken - you should poke around Sig's website. They show the different trigger types; DA/SA, DAK, SRT etc., different models within each "family" and they also have a good video on proper cleaning, lubrication etc. Check here.

You did pretty well. I recently (within the last month) both new P239 9mm. Tax, etc. I paid $650, but it was on sale (really good sale).

Since you have become all about the "SIGness" you need to come over to the SIG forum. Everything you need to know and more.
