I joined the Army in 1988 @ 17 yrs of age. I went Infantry and served as an M60 gunner, my sidearm was a .45 ACP. I think I was amongst the last to
carry one of these beauties. So that is the first handgun I felt I "owned". The first I bought, a S&W "Victory" .38 special. Which led me on a quest to own every military rifle and sidearm in modern (1900-present) U.S. Military history. I am missing the M14, and M4. I LOVE my collection, from my S&W 1917 DA .45 to the 1903A3 to the AR15SP1 (just like basic). I would not consider selling even one.

    Regards,
    Josh

The first was a Ruger Security Six .357 I got for my 10th birthday. I had already been shooting it with my dad for 2 years. The second was a Colt Commanding Officers Model. I still have the colt.

First one was a S&W4013, bought it in 95, regret getting rid of it now, that gun just disappeared on the body when carrying it. Looking for another one now but all the ones I've found are the Tactical model and that gun just don't feel the same.

My first pistol is a Ruger P90 DC. Built like a tank and too big to conceal but great bedside gun that has always gone bang.

    bought in 2003

First pistol I ever bought was just this last end of February - a Springfield Armory XD-40SC.

Mine was a Westernfield .22 bolt action rifle that I got when I turned 12. Neat thing about it was it held 18 rds. of .22LR ammo in a tubular mag.
My first handgun was a .38 with no markings I bought from a schoolfriend for $20. Had an octoginal barrel and the cylinder had to be removed to load it. I couldn't buy .38 ammo for it, but it shot .30M1 ammo well if the tip were cut off. I know, I know....

Browning Hi-Power from my dad on my 16th birthday. It is still in my safe to this day.
