OK 1911 Gurus - here's a weird one
My brother in law has a Kimber Warrior like mine.
Unlike mine, his has developed an odd habit that has be scratching my head.
His gun is spreading the feed lips on magazines. He has two McCormick powermags that are very hard to get into or out of the magazine well.
I leant him one of mine today - before firing, it dropped free easily. after 20 or so rounds, it was pretty snug.
I am at a loss. I didn't notice him doing anything odd while loading the mags.

only thing i could think is check the width of mage well and also check width of the under side of the slide and see it its a lot wider than yours the area im talking about is what hits the cartridge to feed it ..

Check the feed ramp going into the barrel, right at the point where the ramp meets the bottom of barrel.
What might be happening is the forward action of the slide (as it goes back into battery) may be ripping the next round out of the magazine, rather than pushing it. The front of the bullet may get hung up slightly as it moves forward.
Try chambering a round SLOWLY & see if you get a failure to feed. Then try one normally & then eject that round with out firing it & look for damage to the nose of the bullet.
Also remove his slide & look for any damage to the bottom of the slide where it might be contacting the magazine.
Good Luck....
