I don't use 231 powder so I can't add anything there. I bought 5000 primers for $140 shipped...and I use Power Pistol that I purchase for $18 per lbs. With what I am paying for casings I am reloading 9mm rounds for about $6.35 per 50. Mostly I just like to reload. The minor savings helps too with all the shooting I do.

And primers cannot be shipped with powder, so it's a double whammy on HM and shp.

I don't buy in bulk (don't reload that much anymore) and only one store locally carries powder and primers, so I'm stuck with the $5/100 for now.

I only have one store around me that carries reloading supplies.

$39.99 per Thousand primers, W231 (Actually HP38) was $20.95 a few weeks ago.

I've never had that problem. Last order I got delivered was an 8lb tub of powder and about 15k primers. One HAZMAT charge and one set of s/h.

You should be able to score primers for somewhere around $25--$30 per 1,000; most powders seem to be running $15--$20 per pound. If you order online, remember the HAZMAT is a fixed fee; the more you buy, the less it inflates the cost per round. Find a couple of buddies who need components and put a big order together to make it worth ordering online. Try Powder Valley and Midsouth Shooter's Supply.
