    My new air rifle...

I just ordered the air rifle I have been lusting over for the last 4 months. It's an RWS Model 56 in .22 caliber. It is a work of fine German gun making. The barrel is fixed so accuracy is assured and with 900 fps with an 18.1 grain pellet it will dispatch a woodchuck with authority out to about 100 yards. Skunks, coons, starlings and all other varmint and pesky critters better watch out.

BTW: It is a totally recoil-less rifle with an anti-recoil mechanism like a howitzer. It is the slickest spring-air on the market.

I guess the old red rder bb gun is outdated.

Seriously though, that should certainly handle an pest problems you may have, and don't shoot your eye out.

They were real nice guys. They even sweetened the deal with 4 tins (2000) of pellets. The RWS was a little pricey but I only am interested in buying this gun once. It is a true heirloom rifle and will last a lifetime.

I may take the plunge into a PCP rifle next but they tend to start around $1600 for the gun and another $500+ for all the accessories required to use it.

So many guns, so little time!
