    1911 Grips: Does anyone have blue prints for making?

    I have stupid desire to try to make grips for my Springfield 1911-A1. I am only an amateur woodworker (at best).

    I am wondering if someone has plans/directions/schematics on grips I can use? I would REALLY appreciate it. I have a nice collection of hardwoods (scraps) that I can use, and enough that if I mess up, I can start over without issue.
    "Gun Free Zones" is where only criminals carry guns.
