Federal law now allows all permit holders to carry in all states.

Wait a minute! Why should I believe them on this when that are so wrong so much.

I didn't see that statement in there anywhere. I looked twice just to make sure I didn't overlook it. Am I going blind?

It was the very last line that I read.
"They've actually loosened up a lot and I think a lot of people are starting to realize that," Roberts said.
Since Obama was elected, Virginians have gained the right to carry concealed weapons into restaurants that serve alcohol.
Federal law now allows all permit holders to carry in all states.
Edit: Someone beat me to it - but if you read the comments in the story, I think people are calling out his statement. I sent in email calling out his error and asking for the source.

Someone probably told reporter Jeremy Mills, "federal law allows permits for concealed carry in all states" and he misunderstood.

As vague as the statement is, it may be referring to HR218/LEOSA.

"In all states" would seem to imply Illinois and Wisconsin, I don't think that's the case unless you're retired/active LEO.

Even then they would be WRONG. National park carry now falls into the rules of the state. Which means.... there still isn't nationwide carry if we use that argument.

Do you really think newspapers let facts get in the way of a story?

I just received an email from Jeremy Mills the author of this story. It is quoted below.
I'm sorry Mike... but my facts are 100% correct.
Federal law now allows anyone with a concealed carry permit in any state to carry in places like Illinois, California and even Washington D.C.
Those localities are actively fighting the laws by creating other laws to counter them... such as making it illegal to shoot a firearm, so you can still face charges if you use the weapon for self-defense purposes.

The story is accurate.

As far as I know, there is no Federal Law generally prohibiting concealed carry and there never has been. Bans on carrying firearms are generally state or local. So he is kinda correct?
The sentence still makes no sense with the, "now"... ???
Why does he not quote what this mystical federal law is that allows it? Smells like poop to me.

The Antis would love for us law-abiding cvarriers to fall for that trap and make some sensational headlines for them.

I've heard that before. I am not impressed cause it dont mean squat.
Back up the speech and show me proof. I would suppose that he had none, so he's using the "I'm the expert here how dare you question me!"line of BS.
