    Dummy rounds

I want to spend some time training my daughter and son-in-law, and would like to look into dummy rounds and plugs that will allow a dry fire.

    What's the best option(s)?

+1 on the A-zooms linked to by fastk9dad. They're quality, durable, last a long time, and I find them much more difficult to mix up with live rounds than making your own.

Don't buy dummy rounds. They are not for dry fire. They have no bumper in the primer pocket. They are expensive.
Instead, get snap caps. I use A-zoom and they seem to last forever.
