INDIANAPOLIS -- Police say a 4-year-old boy fatally shot his 3-year-old playmate.
Lt. Jeff Duhamell told The Indianapolis Star that the boy picked up a loaded .45-caliber handgun that had been left on a kitchen table in Fiona C. Lee's house Thursday and pointed it at the girl's head before firing.
Lee's daughter, Aunesti Lee Allen, died that day at Riley Hospital for Children.

What a waste.
Makes a person think about what a failure we've become, generally speaking, as a society, with respect to "innoculating" children against misuse of the tool. Any child of 3yrs old knows what guns are "used for." Obviously, they're used to point at people. This is seen in everything from Daffy Duck cartoons to Uncle Bob's unguarded talk at the backyard BBQ. Add to that the simple negligence by an adult in the form of leaving a loaded gun lying on a table, and you get dead kids. I hope the coke-head is happy now.

Here below is the mother's booking photo. She is being charged with felony child neglect and drug possession. Her surviving children have been taken into protective custody by the authorities.
She was just fired from her job last week, for coming to work high on drugs. Her drug addiction most likely contributed greatly to her neglect of her children. She had a total of 3 children ( now only 2 ), but has never been married.
Lee's live in boyfriend, Curtis White, was the dead child's father. He is a known criminal. Here is a former booking photo of him:
