Question about rifling in the barrel
I was wondering how safe or unsafe it is to shoot a pistol where the rifling is no longer there. I have a Colt model 1903 Hammerless Pocket that the serial numbers make it manufactured in 1912. The rifling is gone and the barrel is very slightly pitted. I got it from my Father-in-Law and have shot it and at 15 ft and 30 ft it is still accurate with groupings in a 3 inch dia.

Personally, I would make an heirloom piece...and keep it protected.
I wouldn't be worried about the rifling...as much as I would be of the stress of the metal and having a KB. To answer your question directly: I had a similar problem with my SIG P226/9mm--I must of had 14K rounds though it...rifling was worn. When I took a SIG armorer's class, I showed the barrel to the instructor who told me: As long as it's shooting groups for you, don't worry about replacing the barrel. If it starts sending flyers, replace the barrel.
IMHO: Clean it up, have it framed/mounted, pass it to your kids.

Such an item is a piece of American history. I would do as SIGguy229 suggests.

Thats what I plan on doing with it but I just thought it would be nice to shoot it every now and then. It is in very good shape other then the rifling being worn out. I need to post pics when I get a chance.

I have a Mauser Broomhandle that has the rifling worn out and an oversized chamber, since I bought it as a shooter I plan on sending it off to be relined.
When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.
