Bail out bag and other items...

Having just purchased a new AR I'm thinking about the best way to carry all the ammo I'm going to need in a Katrina type scenario. I would like some advice from those in the know about some sort of load bearing vest. Who makes good stuff and who makes crap? That sort of thing (links too, if able).

Also I couldn't get the search feature to pull up any B.o.b. threads. So can any of you throw up some of the old b.o.b. lists that have been posted before.

    Thanks. :)

No problem...I am in the ongoing process of building my bag. I got stopped by budget constraints and time. I am beginning to research and hunt up supplies now.

One bit of advice if you go with blackhawk's stuff. Never buy directly from their site. Check Amazon, or do a google shopping search. You can almost always find their stuff about 10-20% cheaper somewhere else. I have allot of their stuff, and it's all good, but much cheaper elsewhere.

5.11 actually has a vest on clearance now. Regular price $79 now only $47. Check the clearance tab on the bottom left side of their page.

LBV gear also has use for shelter/defend in place.
I have an Eagle TAC-V1-N that I am happy with.
