I was going to suggest www.packing.org as a source of info, but you seem to have gotten the data you need.

I went to see my brother in VA. a few weeks ago. Had to do the tourist stuff in D.C., but NEVER again. Disarmed. Completely. Never, ever, again.

City built as monument to freedom denies a basic freedom to effectively everyone within its borders.

    Bitter, bitter irony.

Another post - Still in CT. I have been packing most of the time here. Visited Mystic Seaport today and carried the entire time. No problems to report. I should be good till Sunday when we begin our trip south. We will be in and out of states I can carry in until we hit VA. I'll just keep the gun locked up along the way until we cross over that border.

All for now. I'll keep those interested updated as I can.

Finally home. How do you CT folks stand those gas prices, they were the highest we found all trip? Had a great trip, met lots of very nice folks from all over the country and saw some great historical sights.

Anyway, traveling from a state I can carry in to a state I can't is a real pain as far as I am concerned. For the most part I was in carry friendly states which was nice but it was the questions about where in each state I could carry that were the most agravating. You know, which resturants, what buildings, etc.. While I had material that told me all this it's just silly how we have to switch gears in each state we come to. I don't remember ever seeing a "No Guns" sign the entire trip. (By the way OH, you got to get that silly carry holstered in plain view while driving law changed.)

I highly recomend Gettysburg, Springfield Armory, and Colonial Williamsburg to anyone interested in history and firearms. All three were outstanding.

Great trip Joe and glad you are back safe and sound.

Yep - the carry or not carry and the various reg's in each state are a PITA - and as you say worst of all when having to fully disarm crossing those hostile state lines!
