    AMMO Question

I bought a new BUG from a dealer and as an incentive he gave me about 30 rounds of ammo...not in a box, mind you, but just a little bag full.

Upon inspection I found a bunch of FMJ and some HP, but what mystifies me is some (seemingly) round nosed shells that are painted a "Robin's Egg" blue on the tips.

Any ideas about what these are????

    Thanks in advance,

    ~<:Ssssssssssssnake/""

Yep, Yep, Yep,.....them's the ones. THANKS

Guess I didn't do to badly on this deal. The advertised price for the firearm was $500....he had it listed as $390....gave me a break on the price to $360 and threw in about $20 worth of ammo!

One of the very few deals I have been able to find.

    Appreciate the responses!!!!!!

I don't know many "dealers" who will give you a bag of loose ammo as an incentive to buy. Although I am sure everybody out there including myself has a collection of miscellaneous leftovers...

What was the gun he sold you?
    Threw in the ammo huh?
    Just a thought here BUT:
If it's 9mm, there's LOTS of different ammo out there, being range use, or Machinegun only ammo. Hope he didn't give you real hot stuff, as you might be bringing the gun back in several pieces. Check your headstamps for who made the ammo.

Yes, the loose ammo is odd. I'd guess perhaps it sold on consignment, or he bought it with the little bag, and just passed it on.

Make sure it is Glaser if you think it is Glaser! You should be able to feel the seam where the nylon cap meets the jacket. I have some old subgun ammo that has the nose painted blue and looks close enough to the Glaser that a casual look you could easily mistake one for the other. This stuff is hundred fifty some grain and mondo high pressure! I wont even shoot it in my Sigs.

OK, here's the rest of the story......

The gun I purchased is a Micro Desert Eagle .380. Nickle Teflon finish. While we were doing the paperwork, a lady came in and wanted to sell the dealer a .45 that her husband had left her. He bought it and she had many loose rounds in the box with it. He knew I shot .45 as a matter of choice, and so "willed" the ammo to me. I guess to make up for the delay in doing my paperwork...or just 'cause he's a nice guy.

Anyway, I'm doin' a happy dance. At 21 feet my first six were a group of 4 right at the bulls-eye ('bout a 2.5 " group) and two about three inches lower. Not bad for a 2.2" bbl.
