Games to play at Shooting Range - Friendly Competition

My Dad and I will go to the range to practice, etc. I have seen some websites with targets that have billiards, playing cards, etc that you can print out - tape it up and make up a game.

What "games" do you play for fun and competition - primarily handguns.
    Thanks.

I like poker from "Top Shot" for two shooters. One deck of cards. Seven shots per person. Best five card hand wins.

We play "pig" or "horse" a lot. You play it the same way as you would with a basketball. First guy puts a hole in the paper, the second guy duplicates it and so on.

My new Indoor range has Programmable Lanes and targets for the advanced shooters that will go down range, turn, appear and turn back away. Best drill is target goes out to 7 yards, turns facing the lane for 3 seconds, go sideways for X seconds, and turns back facing the lane for 3 seconds. You need to get 6 hits on the target for the drill inside the C ring to pass (IPSC Target). More fun things later.

I like to pit my Sig and Glock against each other. The winner gets carried that week.

I never gave a single thought to this until the post. You all have given me some good ideas and to that end, I am very appreciative!

Have you considered investing in a dueling tree?

We have placed 11 Empty/ fired shotgun shells at 7 yards, on a 4x4. Each shooter has only 6 rds in their weapon. On command each shooter starts by shooting at the outside shell hull. left side shooter start with the outer most shotgun hull on the left side, right side shooter starts with the outer most shotgun hull on the right side.

The empty/fired shotgun hull must be hit and knocked off the board before advancing to the next one in line.

The object is to see who can shoot the middle shotgun hull, the 11th hull, off of the board, first. Reloading is allowed but seldom needed.

    1 1 1 1 1 X 1 1 1 1 1 is the way the hulls are set with "X" being the 11th hull.

Targets are cheap, the competition can become intense .

    Accuracy then speed

    Enjoy.

Often i will get a plain sheet of paper and draw a hostage. Then behind "Her" I put a BG so only a few inches of him is shown(kinda like he is using her as a sheild.) Gets real intense the farther you move out. First person to shoot the hostage gets the Keanu Reeves award(From speed when he shot jeff daniels being held hostage)
