Cocked and locked Glock 1911 !!!

    What if Glock made a 1911 ??

Sig sauer did it. They also went polymer.
Springfield Armory Did it like a Glock and a 1911.
S&W now makes 1911's and polymer guns similar to Glock.
So, now it's Glocks turn to make a Polymer 1911, like Wilson Combat, But way less expensive.

What a fun gun that would be. Glock 1911. I would buy one. in .45 ACP of course.
It would be cocked and locked with a 4 Lbs. trigger pull, thumb safety and night sights.grip safety.

That would be two more things the world needs. Another glock and another 1911.

A poly 1911 is like flying an American flag from a Honda. It can be done, it'll work... but it just aint right.

If you want a polymer 1911 those have been around for ages, just like Springfield and S&W 1911s and polymer autoloaders.

    http://www.sviguns.com

Steel uppers like a 'Glock' (and everybody else) along with either a steel sub-frame and polymer grip like S&W M&P series (and several others) OR a full polymer lower like Glock (and many others).

These are extremely popular among action shooting competitors and they quite simply work.
Available as either single stack/1911A1 format or double stack/2011 format...The end user decides his/her build.

    As to Ferrari people movers...

    Didn't Wilson recently come out with a polymer-based 1911?

Yep...They did just under 2 yrs. ago, although it's not their own gun but a re-badge from IIRC a european manufacturer.
Polymer 1911 and 2011 guns are and have been on the market for over a decade.
