Alot of people would have already given much more info than I would have. I am a fairly anti-social type person unless I know that people. Here is what I would have done.
Idiot: Are you an LEO?
Me: Is there a problem? (just to make sure he didn't need an LEO for some reason)
Idiot: No, Its just that I can see the imprint of your gun, and if your not an LEO then I'ld like to see your CCW permit.
Me: I'm busy and don't really have time for you. Goodbye.
Idiot: If you don't answer me I'll call the police!!!
Me: If you don't leave me alone, I'll call the police myself. I don't really appreciate being harassed!!!! Now goodbye, SIR!!!
The rest would be up to him. If he wouldn't stop, I would call the police (non emergancy line) with him standing right there. I really don't appreciate people bothering me for no good reason. I have had altercations like this before, although then never dealt with my CCW status. I don't like to answer any questions for anyone. It really ticks me off when people pry into my business.

ASK him if the initials "do the initials F.O. mean anything to you?"
no need for him to see anything of my "papers" if he ain't L.E.
This is mine. That is yours.
Lets keep it that way.
