wow...I've bought 3 new guns in the last 2 months, 2 Sigs and a Walther, and I have fired all of them hundreds of times with various brands of ammo without a single malfunction.

I bought a Sig - it was a jamamatic - the factory said run 600 rounds of Speer through it ....... $40 x 12 boxes = $480. I sent it back twice, and Sig broke it in. A gun that jams is totally useless. It's always a dilemma. You buy used, and there is no warranty. I bought a S & W 642, and that had problems. The small guns are always "Ammo sensitive" or need the BS break-in period.

I got my Sig 232, Seecamp, S&W 642, etc all broke in, and have very little ambition to buy anything new. I love it when the gun salesman says "This gun is perfection" ..... it jams ... and he says 'Send it to the factory'

I wish my $500 Sig had stated - "A break-in period is required. $420 in ammo, and $150 in range visits". What people don't understand is that stamped parts make for bad clearances, and that causes jams.

You would be better off buying a $195 CZ-82 or Bulgarian Mak than the Sigs. The Mak is a $20 box of shells and you are good to carry, where as the Sigs are really $1,100 guns by the time they can be considered dependable. The new manufacturing processes are the problem - MIM parts, stamped crap, and no quality control.

Never met a bad one yet, either among those I own or my friends own.

Finally got around to taking my new Kahr P380 to the range today. Put 150 rounds of Remington through it. I expected a few malfunctions during the break-in period. To my surprise, I didn't encounter any until the last box, when I had two failures to feed. I suspect that these were the result of the gun getting dirty.

    Overall, very pleased!

Edit: Remington makes some dirty ammo. When I cleaned the gun this afternoon, it was absolutely filthy. I'm not surprised it caused a couple of jams.

Mine is always filthy when I'm done. They're just dirty little guns.

After the gun loosens up, you won't have problems when it gets dirty.
