Can any say First Amendment lawsuit to force the government to get it's pesky, grubby little fingers out of it? Ahhh, yes. Where's the American Civil Liberties Union when you need 'em. A dollar says they wouldn't touch this.
Funny. You propose to help save druggies from themselves, you practically get city council members or deputy whomevers tripping over themselves for the photo ops near such signs. But the moment you propose to help all citizens save themselves from criminals, you get jumped on from behind by those same sneering city council pukes. (Or, whatever other city admin type cringed and disapproved of such life-saving measures.)

I for one am glad they removed the signs. Think of all the criminals who would take the classes and learn how to properly use and maintain their stolen guns.

Only if we allow it to. The infuriating thing is: "we" (the People) allow it to, nearly every time anymore. In spite of logic. In spite of harm to others. In spite of honor. "We" are getting tired of it. Have been for a couple decades now, once it started accelerating past the "Me, First" decade into a high-intensity "Me, at the expense of everyone else" one. I'd like to hope a hundred million or so are dog tired, though it's probably too much to hope they'll act on that. That would take initiative, and many folks don't yet feel they have enough incentive to do anything yet. Evisceration of most of the 1-10A, effectively, which itself isn't quite enough incentive. Amazing, but I fear it's true.

Now, we can't have that ... criminals being a danger to themselves as well as others.
