My first range day with my new Fusion I put 710 rounds of .40 down range ... I would have put the full 1400 rounds that I'd brought but the gun had problems that day. My last range day with my buddy Eddie (two months ago or so) I went through a little over a thousand rounds (600 or so 10mm, another 500 of .40).

I've had range days where I've gone through a case of .223 (1K rounds) plus 500 rounds of pistol ammo. Even in my regular, 1-hour range sessions the LEAST I've ever gone through was 200 rounds ... why exactly is more than 450 rounds in a sitting so hard to fathom?

I have only been to the BPS in Atlanta, but numerous times since we had an office down the road. I'm from Tennessee and have a Tennessee HCP. I open carried a G36 or a 1911 just about every time I went there. Once they asked to see my HCP then told me to have a nice day. The rest of the time I was greeted like anybody else and no one ever said a word about my pistola. Maybe Southern culture has a lot to do with it. I see a lot of OC in and around Chattanooga and in my travels to Atlanta and Birmingham. It just doesn't seem to be a big deal anymore.
