can I fit an arched mainspring housing onto a kimber ultra? My impression is this removes some material towards the bottom and smooths it into a curve/ It doesn't bubble out further then bend in correct?
I hope how I wrote that makes sense. I just wouldn't want to make the grip longer front to back.
My hope is the curve may hide the grip a little better, instead of my shirt just resting onto the grip and printing the thing.
So can it be attached onto an ultra carry? Might it help hide the grip a little more.
I doubt that would be possible. The Kimber Supercarry has a bobbed frame to accommodate what you call the "arch"....but it's grip is longer than an officer length grip. They do make an ultra version...but it's not bobbed like the larger sized models. You could likely have a gunsmith do a custom bob on it. I've personally never seen and officer sized grip bobbed more than what one would find on a Dan Wesson CCO. I'm certainly not the expert here....but I suspect some gunsmithing would be required to fit a bobbed main spring housing to a standard ultra grip.
