    I've got Benelli fever.

Nothing to exciting to report, but I just wanted to share that I'm hunting down a shiny new Benelli, and I may need to rent a sleeping room from one of ya'll when the wife finds out I bought yet another shotgun that I don't need.

I'm pretty sure we have an extra stall or two in the barn, no charge. You could just get rid of an old one to keep the number of shotguns the same, so ya don't have any more of them, I know where the old one can go too, I'm just all sorts of helpful.

When your wife gets my email...you're going to look like your avatar.

Nothing wrong with Benelli fever. I've had it a couple of times. My wife has now just resorted to eye rolling. I think she is beginning to enjoy the stories as to why I "need" this one.

BLASPHPHEMOUS WORDS. I think there is a forum rule about that somewhere?

Seriously, congratulations on the Benelli. A few years ago I bought a M2 auto. It's a natural pointer, fired and ejected everything I've put through it and with the recoil dampening stock it's a pleasure to shoot all day long.

I've never hunted with mine, but we've shot plenty of clays. My only gripe is the loading/unloading procedure isn't natural to me.

Not a problem! Whenever she asks to use the computer you are on just leave up stuff like Purdey and Sons or that Beretta or some other high dollar stuff. Do that for a week or two and then when she finds out how "cheap" the Benelli was she will figure she got off easy!

I've got 3 M1s, Sixto. Just tell her that they are so you can defend her against the bad guys, completely necessary for you home defense and sporting plan...she'll understand...and I have a guest house in back by the range you can stay at until things blow over at your place...<g>

If you bring the Benelli with ya, I'll kick one of the kids out!

I'm leaning towards a Montefeltro right now... but I found a to good to pass up deal on a Super 90. If Santa didn't need his sleigh filled up in a few short weeks, I'd just do both and hope for the best.
BTW, for those wondering, my current go to bird gun is a 391 Teknys. My back up is a Franchi 720, or maybe a 1100. Yes, I do like a nice shotgun. To bad the economy is bad and SIXTO isnt making enough to support my habit right now.

I've got yet another perfect solution for ya. Buy em both, put them in Santa's sleigh, and give them to your young'uns, of course, someone will have to make sure they are in working order from time to time until they are old enough to appreciate them.

That is definately a class of shotties that is out of my league right now

Thats The Ohio State University, not to be confused with that place out in Athens.

Hey, its a state school, we learn to do things the creative way.

I'd say if the deal on the Super 90 is good, snag it while ya can, you can always snag the Montewhatchamacallit at a later time

    Now stop that.

A shotgun is probably the MOST useful gun out there. Protecting the family, supplying food, sport, recreation, and just plain FUN!!

And if you are adhering to a sparing philosophy, you need a coupla of em.

You don't golf with one club, right??
