Just joined Izaac Walton Gun Club a few months back and it's five miles from the house. The public range Sleppy Creek is about 30 miles away but is still closed because of a few morons were shooting over the berm and hit a mans cabin, the NRA was supposed to take it over ?

The range I usually go to is about 20 miles away, but there is another that's half that distance that I use, and one really nice, clean, quiet, uncrowded range that's worth the 40 mile drive.

30 miles to my little spot in the desert. I can work out of the holster, shoot any weapon as long or as fast as I want, costs nothing, and none of those Walter Mitty range nazis.

A good half hour drive from our house.

Could shoot in the backyard, but it is 1/2 mile to the farm and I have backstops and benches to 150 yards--I do have to get out on the highway for 400 yards or so. . Some hanging silloutes and it is mine. 4 miles to a friends ranch with 700 yard range and lots of steel, much of which I built and hung. It is 25 miles to closest public range and 70 to closest gun club range. Therefore I shoot at home and can do it anytime.

My children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors can enjoy competition or just plinking. God Bless America, Texas and the second ammendment.

About 35 minutes, 30 miles, to the indoor pistol range and about an hour, 40 miles, to the state run outdoor rifle range. 25, 50, and 100 yards, paper targets only.

Or about an hour to a family farm for some cautious solid target shooting with less than ideal backstop.

It's about 30 miles to my gun club. We have steel targets for pistol, a skeet range, and multiple rifle ranges (the longest one goes out to 1000 yards).

Around from Wesleyan/Haygood Rd. in VA Beach to Marvin Road in Pungo (C2 Shooting Center outdoor range), about 45 min. But hey, it's the only place going to in my area where I can shoot rapid fire using other positions.

It takes me about 10 seconds to walk to my range.
