To the club (CKGC) is 30 miles, but we have pastures to shoot in as well.

About 10 minutes to our county parks and recreation ranges. Hi power rifle out to 300 yards, 25 yard indoor handgun range with automatic target retrieve, ( TMJ ammo only, no magnum calibers), 100 yard outdoor range for .22, shotguns, larger bore handguns or for anyone that just likes to shoot outdoors. The shooting stalls are covered but not heated. Price is $8.50 per day. Limited rentals for small additional charge. Limited ammo sales. All in all, not a bad deal.
Shotguns and rimfire in the back yard...make that 1 minute. Big guns at the range about 15 miles. Outdoor range, honor system.....$2.00 a day
Outdoor--11 miles or 15 miles
Indoor--8 miles

5 miles to a private outdoor rifle range, members and guests only.
Not too bad for CT, now that I think about it.
I travel about 50 minutes each way. And that's so I can volunteer as an RSO or RM.![]()

It takes a college degree to break'em;
and a high school education to fix'em!
There are three ranges that I go to, all about 20 to 30 minutes away, or deer camp that is 30 minutes door to gate. All of them outdoor ranges.
Depending on what I am doing or shooting determine where I go. Wednesday I decided to go to deer camp because I wanted to check it out after the weekend. The one I have been using mostly lately is TGC which has a 200 yd rifle range and 6 outdoor pistol bays that have plates and other steel targets along with IPSC stands and barriers ect. They also have a instruction bay where we do the qualifications for our Texas CHL Classes.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.
