Get the one you just like the most. Stainless is a bit more forgiving but the blue if fine if you wipe it down after hunting. Hope your eyesight is good! I used to hunt squirrels with mine years ago and did good. Full camo and pick the right spot and take my time. Killed a bunch but the eyesight isn't what it used to be. Now I use a Buckmark with a red dot. Still harder than a rifle but easier than the single six!

For Squirrel hunting the 6" or even longer barrel is a real help but for asthetics, the 5" is a sharp looking gun.

I feel for you with the debate between blue and stainless, both have their charm.

Yup I've got some thinking to do. I hate these decisions but I love them
Vermont does not issue Permit/Licenses to Carry a Concealed firearm. Vermont allows anyone
who can legally own a firearm to carry it concealed without a permit of any kind.

My guess on accuracy would be a Combo of different things between the two. A dedicated gun made to one specific cartridge is not a compromise. The bore is an exact fit for the 22 lr, the cylinder is probably shorter, a better match for the 22lr length, so there is less jump to overcome from cylinder to forcing cone. And a quicker lock time, all help out.

See if you can shoot both before deciding.
