With all due respect, RG is not one of the marques known for high quality and reliability... and .22 LR isn't a reliable fight-stopper.
Ever consider stepping up to something like a Smith & Wesson or Ruger .38 ?
Looks exactly like what the liberal news media and their "friends" in Washington used to call a "Saturday Night Special". Low quality, low power, cheap to throw away. In the 1970's many low level street thugs preferred these because when they tossed them (in order to get rid of evidence) they didn't lose much if anything. After these guns were publicized these thugs started a rash of home burglaries and invasions to steal better guns. The burglaries and invasions continue to this day.
I thought I was going to see a reworked J-frame or SP101 or something...
A .22 RG revolver?
Nice weapon, but I would seriously consider carrying at least a .38
RG 19....the gun that put Miami on the map as a firearms manufacturer. :dead:
Stick it in your glovebox, for alast ditch, and get yourself at least a .38.
An RG .22LR snub nose is a cool gun for plinking, but it's not very effective for self-defense. I would keep it in your car's glove box or your home safe for a last ditch handgun and do yourself a favor and buy a Ruger SP-101 .357 Magnum, a S&W 642 .38+P or a Ruger LCR .38+P for everyday carry.
Another candidate for the Darwin Award...
Trade it in towards a larger snubbie...revolvers are great weapons, just get one with some power behind it.OMO
The quality is at least almost as good as a starter pistol.
His signature says he has other firearms. This one just goes everywhere he goes.
I think the OP was playing this as a spoof. Nice photo, and it does look well taken care of. :yup:
I recall pulling one off a biker in the 70's and a fellow deputy purchased it at auction a few months later. To this day I love revolvers but not this one.
so maybe he can put three rounds into a half inch ring with it, its not how big your gun is, its what you can hit with it. Its getting a little old when someone shows off something in less than a caliber someone feels unsuitable for carry they have to put it down and say get something bigger thats not worth it. I dont carry anything smaller than a .40, so all of you with .38's really need to trade em in for a .40 or .45 to have something worthwhile to carry. See, I just did the same thing alot of people on this forum do. .380, 32, .22, if its what he is comfortable shooting and it works for him, good enough for me. And OP, beautiful little piece you got there, always did love a double action .22 revolver
