Hi everyone. Lots of talk lately about grips. This got me thinking I should help promote my friend who is an INCREDIBLE wood carver. He uses a modified dentist drill that has a speed of more than 300,000 RPM. His work has been written in many magazines and has been published quite often. He is (if not the best) one of the best custom carvers I have ever known or seen.
His name is Jose Valencia. He is here in Phoenix and is very honest, ethical and inexpensive. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" is wise words to live by, but when I get to the point of customizing my grips, Jose will get my business.
He has a good website but does not show a tenth of his work. You can email him for more portfolio pictures and he can do anything you want. Straight carving, inlay's, whatever.
Let me know if you hire him to do any work, you won't be disappointed. Tell him Daven sent you.
Nice work! For me, unfortunately, this artwork makes a gun too nice and I'd be afraid to use it and mess it up. Maybe when I hit the Lotto I'll get a couple of "special" guns done by him. The ones I currently own aren't worthy of fancy artwork.
